Probably best to shop through here or places that are similiar, I bought mine from a individual and also just a few weeks ago too, so it is a good time of the year to buy...2002 Z06 and in the color I wanted, Millenium Yellow and already has some great mods that I would have done, and low mileage. Shop around and you'll find what you want at the price you want. I had to drive 1200 miles there and then back with it, but to me it was all worth it.

Good luck in your search. I've noticed that even around here some people have a false sense of what their Corvette is worth. They will have them for a while unless they find someone who knows absolutely nothing about current pricing.

I did a similar thing alomst 3 years ago. I ended up flying one-way to Denver, CO and drove my new (used) car back to Texas. I got a great deal on a one-owner low mileage C5 and "easily" offset the $240 ticket and cost of gas back to TX. And it's one great memory too!
FWIW: Owners trying to sell the same car with more miles in the DFW area when I was looking all wanted $4k - $6k more and several got insulted when I suggested I'd make an offer between KBB trade-in and private party value.
