Default Installing CAGS eliminator

Is it necessary to lift the car in order to install the CAGS eliminator or can you do it while its on the ground? Thanks.

if you've got long arms you may be able to reach it - if not then you only need to lift it with a floor jack - it does not require a full lift...

You'll definitely have to jack it up.

You don't need a lift if you weigh under 40 pounds!

...or stand less than 4" tall. You'll probably need two hands to disconnect the GM Weatherpack connector and install the CAG device.

... or if you have ramps just back it up onto them.

it'll take you longer to jack it up and set the jack stands than it will to install the CAGS.

Suggest a set up ramps - makes things considerable easier, plus you can examine the drive seals while under there too. Then you can lay down on a crawler and slide under with plenty of room.

It sort of takes two hands to get up in there and pull the plugs apart then zip tie everything up and away from heat sources.

I'm curious, doesn't the front spoiler/air dam hit when you do that? I have Rhino's too, but have only ever driven the front wheels up on them.

Unless you are the thin man, then you need to lift the car. The CAGS connector is located up on the top side of the tranny (driver's side) and I don't see how you could reach it unless you got under the car.
