Muffler Bypass
A little paint is all that is left in the really cool and cheap mod.
Very little noticable change at idle, maybe a bit meaner, but really speaks under throttle.
Absolutely no drone at highway speeds.

Looks like an "S&S" mod.
I have a brand new set of factory cat backs with this mod if anyone is interested. You pay the shipping, they are yours!

Nice looking mod. And much cheaper than buying a new set of mufflers.

My cousin did that on his 99, made it sound a little bit like my Corsas.

I am thinking about doing something like that. How much did they charge you to do that?

Mine idled like a diesel tractor chgka-chgka-chgka when I did it. Couldnt hear it from inside, but from behind it it was terrible. Did the same thing to my buddy's vette. Wish I'd recorded it before I tossed the exhaust and put on Corsa Tis.

I had it done for less than $90
I thought that was reasonalble in that it took the tch over an hour to fabricate, burn and weld.

I know that some don't like the sound, however myself and three of my buddies have had it done and we all like it. It's not going to sound like a $1000 system, but it's better than stock in my opinion.

I does sound like a boat !
The reason is the quad pipes......they sound like that stock as well.
Big improvement IMHO. Quite a rasp now under power but still quiet when it needs to be. The idle sound is just more crisp....I like it.

I did this Mod to mine 2 yrs ago and feel its the best and cheapest exhaust Mod there is.
Sorry Kale but I didn't want to hear it all the time!
Thats what $1K cat backs are good for.
It was around before A&A started using it .Also, use a larger add in pipe to get more sound and flow at lower RPM.

it definitely sounds great at high rpms.
would it be possible for you to record your idle from behind the car and post it?

Here is what I have. Not sure if it's an S&S or not. When I bought my car, this came with it! Never been installed.
At the moment, they are serving as an obstacle in my basement! Would love to have someone come by and take them away!
