Default DIC Service messages

What exactly is the maintenance for the "Service ABS" and "Service Active Handling"? What should I be checking once the dealer is done with the service. Both service message popped up this morning after abrupt braking, but once the car was shut off and restarted it never came back on. So, is it needed to be serviced? It does have 84k plus on it now. What other maintenance is needed with this many miles.
Sorry for ranting, but I hope someone could shed some light for me. Thanks.

A recent weekend in the mountains I had the same message come up. Thought the worse of it and had a mild ride down the hill. Shut the engine off and message cleared...I consider it a fluke due to the low temperature in the mountains (25 degrees at night) but I'll be sure to mention it when I have it back in for warranty work. 25k on car - 2004 MN6 Coupe. No probs since

You'll get the dreaded Service Active Handling message if you have problems with a number of elements. It can be caused by EBCM failure, BPMV failure and wheel position sensor problems. If there are issues you'll have a DIC code flagged up. The problem is the caption that stays on and can't be reset. However, transitory captions can be a warning of incipient problems.

I had an EBCM replaced after a number of captions, normally when I was stopped at the lights. After the dealer fitted the new EBCM, I had a caption once on the way home. It never reoccured.

Worth checking the DIC codes and posting them here to see if you have a problem.

You need to PULL THE CODES. That's the only way to know what exactly triggered the message - otherwise it's just guesswork.

The codes are only displayed when you command the DIC to show them. TC and AH codes start with a "C" ... post any C xxxx H codes that displayed.

Remember that the only difference with the H (History) codes is that they were set in a prior ignition cycle, so if you shut the car down and restart the codes will be H unless the same problem is reported in the current ignition cycle. So if your problem is intermittent the H codes are still what you want to look at.
