I had a chip in my old 98 a few years back, less than the size of a dime, right in the drivers view. I used Safelite and couln't tell afterwards, they did mine perfectly.

My dauther in law had some repaired on her Jetta and they were pretty big and it didn't come out to bad. I have one that is very small---it almost looks like a tiny raindrop that I am trying to decide if I want to do anything about it or wait---I'll probably get it done this spring so it doesn't get worse and I have to replace the windshield altogether.
Has anyone had a rock chip repaired ? and if so how it turned out. Thanks,FS
I see you are in FL. In Florida the insurance pays for a new windshield without you paying any deductible. I had mine replaced and everything turned out fine. I just requested from my agent that they find a shop that had done corvettes before. You cannot tell it is not factory fresh!
I picked up a chip in my 04 coupe that was a little smaller than a dime. I was concerned that it would start to run and require the whole windshield be replaced which I'm told it around 1800 bucks for the Head Up display.. The place that repaired it did a good job but you can still see a small dot there about the size of pin head. I would do it again however.
