Tire Sealant
I have an ' 02 Z06 on order and am wondering about the following.
GM furnishes sealant to be used for punctures.I've been told local tire shops won't repair tires containing sealant.What to do?

I ran over something that put a large hole in my rear tire, I filled the
tire with sealant and got the car to a tire shop. They washed the sealant
out and put a boot in the tire to get me home (559 miles).
I got a new tire from tirerack for $315 and had a local shop mount it.
I'm sure its OK to drive on a repaired tire (small hole that has been plugged) but if I get a flat I'm buying a new tire and keeping the repaired one as a spare.
