Default Z06 Ti Cat Back question

I have an 04 coupe and have started some mods. My current plans include headers, high flow cats, X-pipe and Z06 Ti's. I just got the Z06 Ti cat back mufflers off a forum member. They came off an 04 Z06 that was a front end total loss.

There are alot of "non Z06 owners" who like and have these mufflers. I think they sound perfect with the set up I'm after. My question is; "What do the Z06 guys put on thier cars when they take off, and sell, thier cat back mufflers"?

Just curious. Merry Christmas - DAVE.

Mine was put back on after headers. I would think everyone would this just because its ti and its light weight. I now have headers and the sound throught the ti/mufflers is soooo nice, sounds like a big block 70 Chevelle.

A lot of them juts go with aftermarket catbacks--they want more volume. Borla Stingers, Corsa, GHL, B&B, etc...

I'm with you though, I'm never getting rid of my Ti's.

I kept my stock Ti's on when I installed the headers. Still wasn't loud enough so I now have Borla Stingers. Now, it sounds perfect.

I took my TI's off (and sold them) to put Corsa's on. Now I'm wishing I didn't, and will be taking my Corsa's off some day to put TI's back on.. As soon as I find some.

I should have just done the "TI Mod" that a lot of people are doing now

Yea, if I could find someone around to weld for a decent price, I'd be all over that exhaust bypass do-hickey.

I've got stingers linked up to my Kooks headers. If it's too loud after I put my cam in I'll add the bypass tubes to my Ti's and put them back on.

B&B bullets because they are loud and deep sounding.

I decided to keep my TI's for the mods I was planning and I'm glad I did.
I did everything in stages: LT's, cam and then heads and intake. The TI's got loader after each mod and right now the volume is about the same as a Borla stinger on an otherwise stock car without the drone. I've heard stingers and bullets after HC installs and they are too loud unless you like to **** the neighbors off and have cops follow you around.

I changed to Corsa Pace Cars. No drone at all and they only howl under substantial acceleration. I really like the sound with the Kooks/free flo cats. The tigershark tips look good to!

I did keep my TIs in case I ever want another sound. I do however keep all the parts that I replace, from cam to differential.

I had the Borla Stingers and the "drone" (lower frequency tone) it created when I was in fifth/sixth gear on the highway was driving me nuts. Went back to the Titanium exhaust, my dyno results showed no difference between the two. I have Melrose Performance Smooth Flow Tri-Y (long tube) Design Headers, X-Pipe and Random Technologies Cat Converters in front of my Stock Titanium Exhaust.

Went from stock Ti, to Stingers, then headers/ offroad X, and then Magnaflow, then about to change, then to H/C....... it just goes on and on. Still have the Tis bagged up in the storage shed, though. You know, just in case....
