When my son got his permit, we went to Carlisle for the Corvette show in August. I let him drive home. After about an hour on the highway, I turned to him and said" It's OK, you can stop grinning now". He never did stop. I do it myself all the time. Enjoy.

I got my vette in March 06 and I still can't stop raving about the car, and mine is still stock!!! So yeah, sounds like you are in it for the long haul. Enjoy it and be careful. I recommend getting a radar detector.

Good choice!
I bought my Z06 in September, 4,000 miles later, still got permagrin on my mug! I'm also a Pistolsmith in my spare time.
