Trunk Hatch Doesn't Pop Up
My trunk hatch pops up ever so slightly. And I knew Corvette wouldn't design the car to do that so I looked around and found out that the clip on the hatch is hitting the metal bar when it goes down. Like the lid is tweaked. Is there anything I can do?

Lubricate everything and see if that helps. Winter time does that to mine too.

I just open and shut a door after I pop the trunk... then the trunk pops up a little because of the pressure
. Just an idea for ya.

Old problem. Just lube the release mechanism slightly with some white lithium grease occasionally and it will work fine. That's what I have to do anyway.

Only had my Z for 2 months and figured out the same procedure. Works great!

Universal design flaw. But since it is the only thing that I can find fault with, I'm not complaining much.

Yup, that's what I've been doing. I just could hear the release mechanism hitting the metal bar and thought it might have been misaligned.

Mine barely pops up when it's cold out as well.. but as soon as it warms up it's fine.

I was shown this trick by the owner of the 05' convertible parked next to me at work. No big deal... even my wife knows the drill now.

Yeup....That's the way to do it. It even works in reverse when closing the trunk. Keep the door open and then close.
