Mine pops up just enough to get a crowbar under the corner.
The crowbar is kind of a pain to carry around, so I may try the door slam method.

Lubing the hinges AND the latch with the white lithium grease worked perfectly for me. No more having to shut the door to pop the lid. Treating the the seal with a bit of silicon grease helps too.

I took mine to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty. The service guy said he adjusted the hinges... I'm not sure exactly what he did, but it pops perfectly now, even in cold weather.

Bryan

I would open the door, flip the trunk release button next to driver seat, then shut drivers door...walk around to the rear....trunks open

Sometimes it gets harder to shut with the bigger body back there. It also seems to throw your weight distribution off pretty bad.

I do the open door thing too, but I want to get a petition, don't think that strategy will work anymore
