Well Santa came a bit early this year & dropped off a set of clear corner/DLR lights The install was pretty straight forward and, with the exception of some tool position yoga, fairly easy... I used a few threads found here to really help me along (thanks guys! ). I ended up using Sylvania 194LL’s for the markers & 3147/4157A ST Silver Stars for the DLR’s… They look quite nice in the new corners & are very bright!
One thing not address (I couldn't find it anyway), the actual bulb socket assembly is white and very noticeable through the crystal clear lens. My question: Has anyone tried painting it with high temp paint or is there a black or silver socket one could replace the stock fixture with??? It really isn't that much of a big deal but I'd like to see if there are any options out there

If nothing else, buy some platic primer and spray the socket down ( of course, cover the inside of the socket first). Then just use some black or silver paint to paint the socket. Should work just fine and the primer will help the paint stay on.
Really not sure if just using a paint on the socket will last but it might.
