Default Headers

Merry Christmas everyone,

I have a B&B bullet exhaust currently and am looking to upgrade the headers and middle x pipe section, however the headers seem pricey. Are these worth anything or they just low quality crap?

Pricey?!!! Are you kidding? That is most likely cheap low quality crap. Most quality headers for C5s run $800-2000 USD, depending on material, options (Hi flow cats, X-pipes) etc.

What i meant was, yes most quality headers for C5s run $800-2000 USD. What was asking, yes i know these are prob low quality crap but would i notice that much of a difference vs some of the more expensive ones...? i am wondering what the difference would be?

Do some research on the headers. There are many different types out there. I myself went with the American Racing Headers capped off with the GHL exhaust and have been smiling ear to ear since it was all installed.
Research/listen/decide.

Long tube headers themselves are pricey let alone the installation price. Could run between $1600 and $2000 with tuned incluled.

I was reading the post concerning stock c5s and a dyno tune with your mods.... that quite a large jump in HP... It seems that the quality of dyno tunes depends on where u bring it..... There are not many places to do it here in montreal.....

stay away from the Ebay headers .
they have been a nightmare for me .
Look nice , and made of quality material , but the fit sucks
Still working through the issues with these headers , clearances etc....
go somewhere else for your headers and save your sanity.

Save your bucks and go with AR (American Racing) headers. probably the best. Performance, fit trim and quality!

Go with some headers that are known for their quality and fit, even if it costs more. Good choices are LG, Kooks, Dynatech and American Racing.
