I believe they are in the $600 range. Like most shops ,,,, overpriced. One more thing,, wait for a tune until you get work done that needs a tune. Gears, cam ect.

Its alot of money for such a minimal gain. You will have to do it again once you add real power adders.. (and you will!!) ;-)

Tunes - as a general rule - costs circa $500. Some are less and some are more. Simple tunes can be as little as $200. Again, ask ECS as they would be the best people to answer your question regarding ECS prices...

I was quoted $600 by ECS, $550 by Carteck ..

The Vette Doctors on Long Island charge $300.

If you absolutely need to get a tune, go see Carmen and save the money for parts!

Price is important but so too is the service, quality of work and knowing the vendor will be there after the job. Haven't had any work done by Carteck nor the Vette Doctors....but for my money, ECS is the best. Your money....but don't go the discount route on something as important as a tune.

Carmen and the fellas @ The Vette Doctors have been tuning for a very, very long time and for my money can tune as well or better than the rest. If they are less expensive you can be sure that you are not getting inferior work. Give em a buzz. Your only problem may be getting in there as they have as much work as humanly possible.

Are you saying the Vette Doctors are a "discount" tuner? You are out of your mind! Man, you gotta get out more!

Gotta add this,, since when is not raping a Vette owner considered a discount service!

Dude, a tune isnt going to help you much. If you want a tune to give the car a little more HP, atleast throw a cam in there to make the tune more cost effective. With your mods, a tune will help, but throw a cam in there.

ECS is expensive, but trust me, you get what you pay for !

Dude enough of the ttt.

Here are your choices.

ECS
Vette Drs.
Carteck

You get what you pay for and my vote is with the masses call ECS. make your apt. with Chris and have Doug tune the car.

The best price is not always the best value!

These discussions usually deteriorate into a tuner popularity contest and nothing more. Usually one is loyal to the tuner whom they have used successfully. It is rare to have the same person use several different tuners, for similar types of work and give an unbiased opinion. I must say that I used The Vette Doctors, as a recommendation from a fellow forum member and I was extremely impressed. I will most definitely use them again. Gather as much information as possible and then make an informed decision. It is difficult but attempt to sift through the loyalists, who would defend their tuner to the death, and make the best decision for you. If you would like to know anything about The Vette Doctors, send me a PM and I will most certainly let you know what I know.

I do not think that this is a "My Tuner is better than your Tuner" thread...

His original post...

* He asked specifically about ECS - he was answered.
* He asked about other shops, he was answered.
* He got recommendations
* He got prices.
* He got choices - ECS, Vette Doctors, Cartech - or he could use someone else.

He obviously is not interested in the recommendations that have been suggested already - hence the constant TTT...
