So im driving home tonight and a older cobra flies by me then slows down then speeds back up, well we are in a 35 zone on new years eve at 1030 at night....not a good idea so I ignore him. Well when we get to a light he starts revving his engine hard, I have my windows down and yelled to him "you're kidding me right" he says "yea I am cause im driving a car that my dad didn't get me". Now I may look young (and I am im 22) but that pi$$ed me off cause I paid for that car myself, I think I am going to get my plate to say "Its Mine". Just thought id blow off some steam, but I hate it when ppl think that.
I hear ya,
I didnt have my car more than 2 weeks (Also paid for myself and im young as well,21)
I was leaving a parking lot and some tool gets out his truck with two girls and tells me to light em up. I gave him the "f*&^-off" look, and he proceeded to say, 'oh, dad wont let ya huh?'. I thought about gettin out and beating him in front of his lady friends but I saved him the humility and let him feel good about his comment.
haha, i know... i just turned 25 and i get that sometimes. people act like C5s are priceless or something and it's like... no... nothing a decent job and a credit union loan can't pull off
Good job of keeping your cool. I must be getting old.....well, ok, I am old but to me a Cobra is a Cobra (Shelby) and a Mustang is a Mustang. Now Mustangs are just called Cobras. They have no idea what they're missing.

How 'bout a tag that says "I Paid"?
Hang in there. I kinda wish I looked like I couldn't afford a Vette.

Here is a plate idea... IBAUTIT (I bought it)
You should of yelled back, "Is that MUSTANG fast?" If he reponse with a yes, "Wow, you better keep that one, don't make to many of those."
Now, Now, boys! I come from both worlds, there are plenty of MODDED Mustangs out there that can eat a stock C-5 Corvette. (In a straight line) A '97 to '98 Cobra is a nothing car, I eat them up with my bolt on
2V GT, I'm about 312 HP at the crank.
However, the Cobra engine is a thing of beauty, DOHC, roller followers, forged rods, pistons, steel chains, cross bolted aluminum blocks and aluminum heads, true coil on plug. But remember, that engine is a full liter less displacement, playing in a league of 5.7 liter engines. And the chassis, isn't anywhere in the league of rigidity as a Corvette. But remember, there is a $15K disparity in cost as well. For the price paid, and workmanship, the Mustang and Corvette are two examples of affordable American performance, that those Ricers just can't duplicate. Americans want V-8 rumble when they punch the gas, not some warmed over chainsaw.
