Nice friends and cars, I wonder if they'll let you take a test drive
Not a test drive... but he did rent the Thunderhill Race Track here in CA for a day... brought two Maclaren F1's, three Porsche 962's, a Porsche 917-30 (utterly berserk 1,300 HP twin turboed flat twelve engine) which we got to ride in all day (not the 917 though) The Porsche 962's have 12,000 lb springs at each corner, because they generate so much downforce at 200 MPH, that they would be forced into the ground without those spring rates... It's interesting going into turn one there at 160 MPH and KNOWING you are going to die in a horrible firey crash and then somehow defying the laws of Physics and magically getting through the corner... redifines what fast REALLY is....
I've never seen an interior setup like that before! I've seen the steering wheel on the right side, but not the gear shifter staying on the right, too! To get in you have to climb OVER the shifter?? Humm.. Odd

Carbon fiber, anyone?
McLaren's are 3-seaters........that Driver's seat is in the middle of the car.
Let me guess, he picked 'em up for only 500-large each (discount for being used) ?
The GTR paint scheme car started life as a Race car... Won the European FIA GT Championship... My friend bought it 5 years ago and converted it to a road car... kept it for a couple of years and then sold it back to a guy in the UK, who promptly restored it back to being a race car.... My friend just bought it back and has RECONVERTED it BACK to being a road car!!! That's a hell of a lot of effort to put into a single car...
wow that is amazing... Many still consider the Mclaren F1 the all time best super exotic. I just watched an hour long documentary where it went up against all the modern super exotics (enzo, etc...) and it still won as king of the hill.
