I read in here a few days ago that ceramic pads are pretty much all the same and the thread determined that you didn't have to spend $ for a big brand name. $40 an axle sounds like a great price to me.

Hawk pads are great, but a little more dust than normal.

I usually use the ceramic pads on the street, then switch to track pads a few days before an event (usually resulting in new rotors and pads)...

I'm in a similar boat. Getting a set of D/S rotors and want to replace the pads while i'm there. I"m probably going to go with morso ceramic pads from Autozone. I've used them on my truck for years with no problems and good pad life.

my car won't be seeing track time for at least a good 6 months. I'm keeping the stock rotors just in case.

Thanks for the tip!

I think I'll try with the morse-ceramic pads @ Autozone. More dust is NOT what I'm looking for. I was under the impression the Hawks here virtually dustless.

ceramic pads are great for keeping brake dust down... but will definitely increase your stopping distance. do a search, please do more research on this before you get them. i was Not happy with mine.

I've got Raybestos Quiet Stops and I didn't really notice any increased stopping distance with the ceramics.
