I went with vinyl as well, took my time, used a Q-tip to push all the air out. Got mine from Forum member SignGuy for around $15 (front and back). Took about 30 minutes of patience to get it right. I'm pleased with the result.

You can purchase from e-bay. Get the stainless, they are made in Lexington, Ky., great quality and easy to install.

What happens if you have them painted on and after a year or even a few months you dont care for the color and want to change them it would be alot cheaper taking the vinyl or the ss ones off as opposed to having the whole area of the car where the letters were repainted.

you can remove the painted (pinstipe)area in about 2 minutes with some acetone

I used a paint pen. Took about 1/2 hr. very easy to use.
