Talk about timing.......guess what came in the mail ???> B&M Ripper and I just intstalled it which took me about 1-Hr and 15-minutes......I took my time and added a bit of grease to the moving parts of the gimbal.
> Now for the run....at first I had trouble finding Reverse (actually I found it but I couldn't believe is was that short of an up-and-over manuever). Ran through the gears without moving 1st-2nd-3rd-4th....etc.
> Ok, quick and crisp but it takes a little more -umph- so if your lacking arm strength (or used to easying the shifts) it'll surprise you.
At first I wasn't sure about the conversion - it's so dang tight !
> BUT.....here comes the good part....high rev-v-v-s....clutch....-snap- from gear to gear......and let loose the Tiger - what a feeling to hit those GATES without moving my whole arm through the dash
> Anyhow, I'm still not completely comfortable with it so that means practice, practice, practice......wow, got drive my Z some more !
IF you like your car to be more Race-like and precise.....the Ripper is the one.
