Default Heads up display?

What features do the HUD actually display? Kind of a moronic question but will be buying a C5Z early summer.

Right on, the C5Z has been my dream car for a while now. The HUD makes it that much cooler!

I thought the HUD was a fun feature when I first picked up my Z06, but after two weeks turned it off and never turned it back on again...

I love the HUD. I drove a Bonneville SSEi with HUD for years. It is hard to go back to a car without it cuz you have to look down at the gauges.

It is invaluable when open road racing where you have to maintain a set speed (or not go over your tech speed). You don't want to be looking down at your speedo while doing 100+ through curves, etc.

i use my hud 100% every day.

i run RPM and speed.

at night i turn the gauges/radio to dim or "black" then out and run with just the hud on dim.

at night with the top down it's cool. like you are flying.

Wow there's even a shift light? Is it programmable?

My problem with the HUD (I always leave it off) is that it's distracting. Maybe if I stuck with it for a couple days, I'd get used to it. However, I find myself stuck looking lower than I'd like.

Love mine, don't like taking my eyes off the road and having to re-focus on the dashboard especially when driving at night.( My Wife just walked in and told me she hate's it, thinks its a distraction)

I found it a tad busy for my taste with the default display.
For the last several years I only display MPH and have gotten to the point where I never look down. I too turn off my dash lights at night...who needs 'em.

Sorry I can't let you install your HUD. It's a factory option. jk

Default Shift lite?

I have a 6-speed and have noticed that there is a "shift" section on the HUD but it never comes on. The yellow one in the speedo does but not in the HUD. Any ideas???
