A question maybe Elite or someone can answer. I just ordered frame rails and the catch can. I may not get the whole picture of how the intake and catch can work, but would the hose going to the intake not be better if it came out of the top of the can, rather than the bottom portion where the oil actually is trapped? Would this not filter and seperate the oil from the intake better? Just curious before I receive it and do the install.

The stainless steel mesh that traps the oil vapors, and condenses the oil which drips back down into the can, is located at the top of the catch can assembly.
If the mess gets saturated during heavy use with liquid oil, it's better to suck from the can on the side fitting because if it was sucking from the top fitting, which is real close the mess, it might suck liquid oil into the intake manifold.

Also keep in ming our Catch Can is designed with (2) separate internal chambers.
