Active handling message
Well, today I got the active handling, abs service message. I had driven the car about 30 miles from home and stopped at a store to get a snack. When I restarted the car, the dic showed the message to service active handling module. 
Crap!!! My GM service report had shown that the module had been replaced about 5000 miles ago. I drove on to the golf course with the message showing and no active handling. When I got to the course and parked, I shut off the car and waited and restarted to see if the message reappeared. Nothing, as in no start and no power!!
Raised hood and checked battery terminals. Loose connection! Power and all the normal sounds of the computer came back as I pulled on the battery cable. I borrowed a wrench and tightened both connections and all is well. It did not help my golf game, but glad it was that minor. 
Really enjoyed the drive home!
