Flicker Problem

Default Flicker Problem

OK, I have posted this before but it is a problem now.

A couple days ago I noticed my lights dimming them goin back to full power..well now it is doin it alot....

When at Idel or under power it dims and comes right back up to full stregth.

Charge good on gauge.

Tomorrow I am goin to take out battery and clean all terminals and then get the batt checked at auto parts store...

Any one else have idea or same problem......and my head lights dont always come up since this started I have to turn light switch completely off then wait few minutes and then try again and they usually pop right up......

Please any ideas or comments are welcome

Voltage regulator/ alternator. The voltage regulator is built into the alternator. Sounds like thats your problem if the battery is holding a charge.

Sound like a ground or contactor problem, if charge is showing the same on guage. Ground wiring or conectors need to be cleaned up some where along the line.

I was following a Vette the other night in the rain and his was doing that pretty bad...

I have never seen a car do that, not at the rate his was doing it.

Could not get his attention.

If any mods involved unhooking grounds, hit them first. I got a good 1/2 turn on a couple of grounds under the hood, and it cleared up a quick radio cut-out / voltage drop that started a year after my blower was installed. I went from not wanting to drive it, to not having a problem in the last year. Good luck.
