Default driveway scraper fixes?

I bought a 03 Z06-20,000 miles the other day
I love the car-its quirkey, niosey and unlike the 64, 75 and 81 I have owned in the last 40 years but I dig the car.

I have a scooped driveway
the the black front spoiler scrapes when I pull out, made my neighbor jump the other day-any aftermarket
sources that make a shorter spoiler or? any other ideas?

thanks

The plastic piece under the bumper is designed to flex in situations like that. However, this product (http://www.pfyc.com/pc/VT1040/VTEXT/...er+Savers.html) is supposed to help.

I'm in the same situation.

Those little wheels are there to protect the bumper frame (that's why the call them frame savers). They are not low enough to prevent the spoiler from rubbing. The spoiler is designed to pivot back, but it does make an awful noise. Just don't back up as it's not designed to pivot forward. Mine is just roughed up on the bottom, but no one by the mice can see it, so it doesn't bother me.

good luck, and enjoy your new car...

The more you angle when approaching/exiting your driveway the better chance you will have of not scraping. In the end it's no big deal scraping the plastic air dams, they are flexible for a reason and the whole set can be replaced for ~$60.

Try backing in. My car would scrape at stock height pulling in straight. I have since lowered it and by backing in I have no problems unless i go to fast.

Hit it at an angle going in and out and it will probably help a lot.

Don't worry about it, just go slow. Scraping is fine. If you look at it while lifted on a stand, you'll see it's spring loaded, so it actually bends when it scrapes. It's not rigid.

I had installed the "frame savers" from A&A out in CA--as well as the side rails (forget the product name, but it's a thick aluminum strip that's screwed into the body underneath & out of sight). Best 2 mods I have!

I cut them in half with a box blade, use masking tape to make a strait line and cut slow.
No more scrape and it looks way better on a lowered car.

I got the FattDaddy wheels, they protect the frame by rolling instead of dragging. They are about $45.

My Z has been lowered,so It scrapes easily.

Also make sure your front tire pressures are on the mark.3-5 lbs low can make a diff.
