I was faced with the same thought as your having except with a silver Z, I even photo chopped to see if I liked it, I finally had my brother drive my car and I followed him in his bimmer, and then the desicion was easy, I just did the lower valence.

This is an older photo (it's 6-degrees in Maine this morning, trust me, thjis wasn't just taken). We used a dark gray metallic for the paint. The side stripe will be replaced this year with a "ghost" stripe of the same design, just a cherry red instead... far more subtle... I'm ready for a change. Hope this helps.
