Default Paint scheme idea - your thoughts???

If anyone has looked up corvetts on google has probably seen the racing corvette ( yellow with the black rear facia....)

Well I am thinking about doin the with my 1997 red vette...the car has a pretty good look with the z06 brake vents and the black outs in the rear but want to go that extra step to not look stock like 97% of the vettes out here in virginia.

Please tell me what you would think if you saw it on the street.

Just like the picture below....but with full black out kit OR flush mounted tailights WITH OUT black out kit....and black out side markers....

BE HONEST

And if you have any pics of one you have seen please share.[IMG][/IMG]

OH YEAH NO WING OF COURSE.....NO IMPORTS HERE

I don't like filling out the whole fascia. To me, it looks like the car got hit in the rear and the owner put some temporary paint on it to cover a bad scratch or somehting.

Here's how mines coming out with just the lower portion painted:

what i think is that if you paint the whole thing black you need to have black rims like the pic, i think that just the lower part will look really good on your car i'll see if i can find a pic

I say go with a full black fascia, but NOT with paint as glossy as the above pic.

Not primer.... there's no clear on it yet.

Here's an idea. Start by blackening out the lower portion. If you like it, great. If not, you can keep going and get the rest of the fascia.

Default Ok, here is one more question

Since that area in the lower facia is right by the exhasut should I paint or get gloss bedliner....

I know that is the red neck comin out.....but it will put up with heat and road dabris...also if you look at my front shot in my signature you will see black under the lip....well that is just vinyl..thinkin of paintin or bed liner material because that area gets the crap beat out of it....

What are your thoughts on that

you may want to try this stuff.. it's supossed to protect you paint like a bra would, you pray it on then when you want it off you just wash it off with soap and water... i would spray the lower part, drive around for a day... then the whole backend, and do the same... you may like just the bottom, or the whole backend or just with without and black and there was no harm done and it cost you less then $10 to figure out what you like,,, then you can take it to a bodyshop and have them paint it the way you want it if you want the black on the back

Default True True

I was wondering about that....I am gonna try the removable spray for a few days and get some opions from buddies....

Without buyin new wheels because mine do look good....I am wonderin what else to do to my car to get away from stock look with out spending my whole pay check....

I dont like the fender stripes...NO RACING STRIPES...Tryin to find speedway exhaust...cause not many people have that type.

I am goin to use the spray black out stuff on the side marker lights, that tail lights and the reverse lights because my black out kit now is scratched from washing and driver with dust on the car..

Im still tossing this idea around. But i only see that same picture of the glossy black on torch red. So i think im just going to get some chrome rims.

You cant go wrong with chrome and torch red
