Default Need Help Front Headlight!

Ok guys someone help me out here. A month ago i had a noise when i turn the headlight off. So i researched the forum and I found out that its because the cheap plastic gear will be worn out....true....i ordered the brass gear and installed and everything is good for a month until today morning. Driving to work was raining too, parked my car turned the light off and the front driver headlight comes back up no noise or anything just comes back up. I turn the lights on the headlight goes down quick then back up everything looks normal till i turn the headlight switch to off then the headlight goes down and goes back up.

The solution for now i have to open the hood and use the manual way to make the headlight go down.

Any input guys what should i do.

Thanks

Looks like you have a separate problem

Here's the TSB that covers it:

Number: 00-08-42-002
Subject: Left Headlamp Door Does Not Stay Closed (Shim Headlamp Door Motor/Actuator and Replace Insulators)
Model Year: 2000 Chevrolet Corvette
Condition
Some customers may comment that the left front headlamp door does not remain closed after the headlamps are turned off. Others may comment
that the left headlamp door closes when the headlamps are turned off, but then reopens. In either case, the right headlamp door operates properly.
Correction
Important
The following information applies to the left front headlamp door motor/actuator only. It does not apply to and should not be performed on
the right front headlamp door motor/actuator.
Install one washer (2) between the left headlamp door motor/actuator (1) and the mounting bracket (3) at each of the three attaching bolt locations. Also replace the
insulator (4) on each of the two mounting bracket travel stop tabs (5) as shown. For information on headlamp motor/actuator removal, see the Headlamp Motor/Actuator
Replacement procedure in the Lighting sub-section of Body & Accessories in the appropriate Service Manual.
Parts Information
Part Number Description Qty Per Vehicle
11505463 Washer 3
16524060 Insulator 2

Default Another driver headlight problem

I ordered the 3 Washers and 2 insulators, I installed them and now my headlight acts crazy. I turn the lights on and my light goes up and down about 5 to 6 times and then stops....up, down half way everytime changes. Same problem when i turn the light off up and down about 5 to 6 times and will stop up, down or halfway. So i open the hood and have to use the manual.
What did i do wrong is my headlight rotor need replacement or have i missed something here. I even replaced the cheap plastic gear with the brass one.

Any input on that will greatly appreciated

Thanks

Default Same problem with the driver Front headlight

I ordered a new driver front motor headlight from Eckler. I replaced the old one and still have the same problem when i turn the light on the driver side keep going up and down for like 5 to 10 sec then stops either halfway, full or down and when i turn the lights off same thing. One else i need to change i mean i cant think of anything else replaced the whole motor. Is there a fuse or some kinda wiring that i need to replace or overlooked. Or do i need to go to the chevy dealer.

Any advice will be appreciated

I went to the chevy dealer for the headlight problem and they want to charge $250 just to reset something and I was wondering what can they reset, does anyone knows what they were talking about, I will reset it if I know what I am looking at......I was told there is something that controls the headlight motor where to stop.
ANy help will be appreciated
