Default Burgundy?

I have been in the market to purchase a C5 for about a month now, and have done all my research, and am lost on one thing.

Some people are advertising Burgundy Vettes, but in all the GM specs I have read, that was not a color option for the 2001 and 2002 production years. Does this color have a different name that GM calls it?

They are probably refering to Mag Red. It does look Burgundy to people who don't know the colors available.
I doubt any Corvette owners are on that list.
Sounds like dealers to me.
Be sure they don't rotate the tires before delivery !
Some may want to check the automatic transmission fluid level on the dipstick for you too.
Be sure they check the air in the spare tire while they're at it.

kinda like the dealers who have champagne with peanut butter interior.....only buy a vette from knowledgeable vettes sales or private owner. thats my 2 cents.

It's probably the Mag Red II. First pic is when the sun is still out.

Second pic is when the sun is about set. It changes to a burgundy color, Hence the II. Mark

Many of the "used car for sale" computer formats are generic. Seller can only pick from a given list of colors. Burgundy was probably the closest choice. Mag Red, or maybe an '03 AE Red is my bet.

In the right light, the anniversary red can look pretty much burgundy.

Default Close to a Burgundy Color....

Another color "close" to being burgundy would be the 2003 AE coupe...
