I have a friend who's buying his dad's manual,99 coupe. The car is being shipped from Hawaii where its had limited use. Has 33K on the car. My friend told me his dad was delayed in heavy trafffic on the way to get the car put in container for shipment, you know, constant gear shifting and clutching. Anyhow my friend tells me his dad told him while in heavy traffic, his dad experienced a problem with his clutch pedal engaging lower and lower toward the floor board, and evenutally the engagement was so low he had to use his foot to get the clutch pedal back up off the floor. My friend told me his dad described the problem to him and also told him that while the pedal seemed to go lower and lower, he could still shift gears and move the car, but had not experienced this sort of problem with his car before, or had this problem surfaced with any of his island vette friends.
I've looked thru threads but haven't found anything simialr, yet, anybody seen or experienced this sort of problem with either the pedal or clutch, if so, please let me know so I can pass it onto my friend. Will also be looking in the manuals for any clutch clues.
