Many warranties are not transferrable. Since ownership of vehicles changes at such a rapid rate, this automatic termination of most warranties makes it feasible for manufacturers to offer such good warranties. If everyone kept their vehicle for 10 years or longer there would be no way such good warranties could be offered.
BTW, my Redtop died when it was just a couple months past the two year mark. It was in the car when I bought the car so I did not attempt to get it replaced under the 3 yr free-replacement warr.
I, like some others, have a different set of values and would not attempt to get something for nothing. I bought an Exide spiral tech.
