I have an 04 -ZO6. I have been looking at sport seats with 1800 miles in great condition....now would this be considered an upgrade or downgrade and about what price is fair for them ?

Your going to pay about $800-$900 depending on how generous the seller is. I think its an even swap on upgrade or not.
Sports seats have more functions than stock z06 seats. You will lose those functions on the passenger side unless you wire them in. I have seen sport seats in excellent condition go anywhere from $1000 to over $1200 on ebay.

Price depends on over all condition- I would expect 1800 mile seats to be like new and fetch $800-$1000...a while back I sold "standard" seats out of a Z for $650 with about the same miles on them...
As for upgrade\downgrade...it's up to you- the only seat in a Z with power is the driver side...if your new to be sport seats are dual power then you will need to find the harness to power them (or swap out themanual seat track on the Z's passenger seat...I have sport seats in my 00 coupe...I like them (fit, function) wise over the Z seats. They have the bolster adjustment as well as lumbar support...
for a Z06 this would be an upgrade, BUT take note, the sport seats are both power, I believe the Z passenger seat is manual. You will have to run the electrical harness to the passenger seat so that the seat will work - Lumbar, back, forward, up, down etc.....
Also if you do not have the memory option on the car the seats will of course not slide back to let you exit, they will just stay where you position them.
Pricing, I have seen anywhere from $600.00(really nasty) to $1800.00
brand new (not really worth it IMO)
Good luck!!
Jarad, if your're just looking for a little more comfort and looks do what I'm doing. Sport skins and new sport seat foams. No I won't have all the fancy adjustments that the full sport seats have but, for much less than half of what you are looking at paying I'll have look-a-like seats with more psdding and much nicer looks. I'm waiting on the new foams and hope to have them tomorrow. here's what I've done so far.. Removed old seats

Bill Vette - great idea and what I eventually want to do to my standard seats. Mind my asking where you purchased these and how much?
A club member just got new skins from Leatherseats.com in mod red. I paid 0 but did some detail work for free for him. $275 for new sport foam + 12 push tabs ("christmas trees") to hold the new skins on from our club sponser Bryner Chevrolet. I'm using the directions from Vette Essentials. Having non sport seats I'll have to switch the seat bottom skins and re-cut new holes, the old holes will not be visible because theyre next to the console. http://www.vetteessentials.com/instr...er_change.html
