I am all for lowereing Z06's, and the longer boltds in the back are definitely the way to go. I actually used the longer bolts and cut some of the bushing in the back. I also cut the bushing off in the front, but I would not advise taking the bolt out of the front. The ride was harsh enough with just the bushing cut, I cant imagine it with the bolt totaly removed here is a pic of the 04 that I had with the longer rear bolts and the front bushing cut.

what year are you getting? We just finished up another coilover conversion on a 2007 Z06. The ride is very comfortable, actually a bit better than stock, and has quite a bit more predictability in high speed corners. Maybe an option..I'm just not a huge fan of lowering the factory suspension.
