Default Oil IN the Intake?

Just spent about an hour installing my blackwing, whoever says thats easy is crazy, I must have not gotten the right parts or something, I coulding get the damn thing to fit for anything.....I also got a red silcone smooth bellow and when its on there the whole thing is to long to mount on the studs....? Also theres a small whose that goes to the factory bellow...what do I do about that? Also I cant for the life of me get the air bride to sit back down on the radiator shroud its up off it about a 1/2 inch....And lastly when i looked in the intake theres a lot of oil, like I just put my finger in and went around the rim of the throttle body and it was coated in oil? Is that bad? How do i fix that?

Plug the bellow...

Your just going to have to fiddle with the fitment...

You need one of these to fix the oil in the intake...

Keep playing with the fitment. It can be easy or difficult depending on the car.

Here's a shot of the inside of my intake before a catch can.

My air bridge with B/W installed sits a good 1/2" above the radiator cover. The air bridge contacts the hood a bit too. It is a tight fit but it fits! Good luck!

Get the catch can from Chip at CCA. I have a 2000 with the ZL7 package and a new Z06 manifold. I saw what was taken out of the catch cans and didn't want that happening to the new manifold. I ordered the braided lines (enough to do the catch can and the line from the throttle body) along with the hose ends to give it a little extra pop. Chip was great at answering all my questions and if you follow the drawing for the early C5's it's really a simple 10/15 minute install. Great peace of mind for such a small price and the workmanship is outstanding.

If you're using after market bellows at the throttle body to air bridge connection and/or at the BLACKWING to MAF, you might have to trim or adjust the bellows up or down to get the alignment correct. The air bridge or BLACKWING doesn't want to fit onto the grommeted pins because your new system is longer than the oem intake system. Adjustments will shorten the new system where the air bridge should fit better.
