Default Headliner removal?

Anyone removed the headliner? Is it fairly easy to do without messing it up for re-installation? Thanks.

Only thing I don't like about the car is the flex in the chassis. I would like to see about connecting the front to rear roll hoop. It would not take much to help the flex. The front hoop is fairly stout. I have already put a thicker tunnel plate.

I've had it out to install an LCD into the headliner. It is very easy. Hardest part is putting the sun visors back in. Remove the rear plastic trim, a plastic "button" on the rear of the headliner, remove the A-pillar plastic and the sun visors. Drops out from there. Make sure you have your seats forward as far as they will go and reclined as low as they can go to help with getting the headliner in and out of the car.

Done it and its not too bad. I had to remove mine because I think the owner before me left the windows down when it rained and ruined the liner.

Thanks. I was worried if it was glued in or something and it would rip or distort on removal.

Nope. Only held up with the trim pieces, the sun visors and the rear "button". Between the headliner & roof is a great place for an XM/Sirius antenna. The fiberglass roof does not impede on the reception.

I took my headliner out of my '03 Z and ordered an '02 headliner from the dealership. I think it was $85? In '03 GM added that rediculous "bump" which comes down just behind your head. Not a good thing when you're over 6' tall (I'm 6'3"). The '02 headliner has no bump so moving around in the car is much easier, not to mention having a helmet on!
