Congratulations. Your profile doesn't say where you're located. Where are you from? I've had my vert for just over a year and it's my DD. In fact I drove it in the snow this morning. Welcome to the CF.

I know, need to update my profile! Also, need a more creative username. I'm from Davis CA, not much snow here. Your traction control must get a workout. I have kept my prior car for a DD, but I just can't leave the C5 at home. It's my new DD now.
Congrats, my C5 puts a smile on my face every time I drive it, even when I'm driving it in the snow. Since you have the Z06 sway bar, fork out another $200 and get teh C6 Z06 shocks if you've still got stock ones. You WON'T be dissappointed.
Welcome to the Corvette Forum......................This forum has to be worst than Crack, Im addicted to the Forum! !
, (caught a cold sleeping too close to the crack one time ) - Just a warning, this Forum IS addictive, and so are mods - mods are little bugs you get, first you get the bug to mod this, then you get the bug to mod that - once that starts, it's a slippery slope w/ no known cure other than to feed your frenzy! Have fun, and enjoy. Also, you can gain a WEALTH of information here, and save some BIG bucks by getting advice here and doing repairs/improvements yourself.
congrats,i just bought my first vette back in july,i have never been so happy,i actually traded a 2000 stang convertible in for mine, lets just say it was a good choice, and the vettes hold there value a whole hell lot better than the rustang
have fun
I bought my 01' Coupe in March and everytime I walk away from her, I have to turn and look, even now. Of course I've gotten tired of the 4spd automatic, but found some 6spd parts, and planning on a H/C upgrade next.
Once you go to the regional meets in your area, that perma-grin you have now, will stretch out of proportions like they do for me. Everyone is like family to me, and I couldn't imagine going back to anything other than a Corvette.
This coming from a guy who's owned all sorts of Rear Wheel Drive imports with turbos and everything you can do to them. The corvettes and their owners, are just a special crowd.

I'll check that out. Not sure if mine are stock. I assume there are C5 Z06 shocks too?
