Default My first CORVETTE!!

I just got a 1999 C5 coupe 6 spd with 38k miles. It has lots of cool options, HUD, sport seats, a 5pt harness (for a kid passenger) and a Z06 suspension upgrade. This car is INCREDIBLE and is now a daily driver. It’s like a mini vacation every drive!!

I’ve never had a sports car and had considered the Mustang GT and the 350Z. After some research, I concluded that the vette would be the hands down winner in performance. Nothing like combining American muscle with awesome handling!

This forum shows an incredible loyalty and knowledge base. I’ve already purchased the CAGS eliminator and the column lock bypass plus some basic service aides. Any suggestions on other “must haves” are welcome.

Here’s my first attempt at including pics.

You would have been really disappointed with Mustang or the 350Z. The vette was money well spent. Enjoy!

congratulations;and welcome to the club!be sure to explain to your family and friends the reason for the "perma-grin" that you'll be displaying from now on.you'll also experience the"turn around and reflect" syndrome as you walk away from your 'vette, and HAVE to give it one more glance of admiration.enjoy,my friend!white(whether arctic or speedway) is the rarest of color options.i think it looks BAD

Default Way to go

Got my c-5 in April and it is a ball every day I get to drive. Too bad it is sleeping now, due to winter in Wisconsin. Sring is only 8 weeks away, I think. Enjoy and be safe.

Welcome!

Looks terrific. I never get tired of looking at C5s. Thanks for posting your pics.

About your remark regarding 'this forum.' You are 100% correct!

Like many here, I've signed onto many forums over the years of all types, cars, m/c's, bicycling, etc. I find this C5 FORUM an excellent place to hang out. Its rare to find someone with and attitude.

Just the other day a friend of mine got a used C6 so I thought I'd check out the C6 Forum to familiarize myself with what's going on in the C6 world. I couldn't/can't believe it! It seems so many posts where laced with 'attitude.' After awhile I couldn't take it and clicked back here. More nice people here it seems.

Enjoy your new ride! BTW, the C5 is definitely a better looking Corvette than the C6 in my book.
