If you built Corvettes...........
No, this is not a huge "mod" wish list. Just simple stuff that, based on your readings here at the forum, makes you wonder, "Gee, it's cheap enough to do so why didn't Corvette include this in the basic car package?"
Things like frame rails or those frame-saver wheels or oil catch cans or brass instead of plastic gears for the headlights. Rough math tells me that after-market, these things would run about $250-300 not including install (even though if we include our own time for doing these, we could easily double this cost because, like they say, time is money. Even your time.) I'm fairly certain Chevy could probably do it all for less than $150. With new car prices north of $45,000, an extra $150 is chump change for the saved aggravation later (about 1/3 of 1 percent.)
I know, I know, if Chevy did this some of our vendors wouldn't have these items for sale but I am sure they'd come up with something.
So, let's hear what you have to say.
The only things I'd like better from the factory are the steering wheel and the seats.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

OKAY, we are already the BIG DAWG!
There's a start

Gm is trying to make a car that will pass emmisons, make us happy and make them a profit.
GM has packaged some stuff we don't want inorder the get what we do want.ei In order to get the HUD in a vert ya gota get the auto top.
They could customize the production line if it was to there advantage, but tis not. So you buy it like it is and change via after market.
The best, for us, would be to take the Vette out of the hands of the chevy dealers. Do direct online orders and Museum delivery or drop ship.
Just my $.02 as I/m going through the (painfulll)process of ordering an 07.
