Srt8 Killing!
Hey guys, i just met up with one of those new chrysler 300 srt8's on the freeway. I was just out for a cruise enjoying the sun and he came up on my left side (in fast lane). I saw him eyeing my vette as he kinda cruised by slowly. All of a sudden he takes off! He must of been close to 80 before i decided to jump over and catch him. I dropped it to 3rd and jumped in the left lane and went after him. I caught him and was right on his butt, then i jumped over a lane (i was in 5th now) and dropped to 4th and blew by him and quickly shifted back upto 5th and 6th gear (at about 120). I slowed down he got up next to me an we rolled down our windows and he yelled at me "GODDAMN I GOTTA GET A VETTE!" Granted my c5 is completly stock. I think i did pretty good against him. Note,, there was NO traffic on this wide open area of the freeway and no animals were hurt in this short race hahaha! Oh, why do i feel bad after i race someone? I feel like i hurt my car or something and i should not have done it. Talk to me bros!

The guy in Florida is saying street racing is a no-no when Florida I think has the largest street racing synicate. It's all about showing off. Don't critacize other people for it, obviously this guy is a safe street racer since it was an OPEN freeway, (that means straight and no turns) and NOBODY was on this OPEN freeway, (that means no other person to run in to on a straight, wide road with no turns). Please, tell me what he did wrong.

Its cool! I understand the risks of doing this and would NEVER put anyone else at risk when doing so. It was just 2 grown men having a little fun for a minute. No need to bash on each other over it. I was just excited to know my stock c5 could hang with the new srt8. I had always wondered, but never had a chance to find out. I value this forum too much and would not want to do anything to get myself kicked out. I'll be more careful with posts in the future. BUT DAMN THAT WAS ALOT OF FUN HAHAHAHA!!!!

It was a similiar ordeal (it began at a stop light though and I was behind him and he took off like a bat out of you knw where), but when he saw that I was hoping the frontend of my car up and down he pulled into the left hand lane and slowed rather quickly. Of course, my car is far from stock.

Actually I was with 2000C5GUY and it was on a closed road. He called it a freeway because it was free to drive on.
Good kill. Also the race never really happened, but thats what we thought might happen if he decided to drop some gears down. This is all speculation.

They are a nice car though and anyone who owns one, takes care of it and likes to drive it is ok in my book.
