Default Settlement

I just received a check from Chevrolet as payment for settling a claim that I filed back in August covering the cost of replacement for two front tires on my 2004 convertible after 8,000 miles of wear due to the fact that the alignment was incorrect from the factory. From the time that I first filed the complaint until now, I went through three specialists working on the file!!!! I guess persistance does pay off. I can't wait to get back on the road and put some more mileage on . Just made my reservations for the NCM experience in June.

What was incorrect about the alignment and what was the wear pattern on the front tires?

When we bought our 2000 used, it had just over 14,000 miles and the front tires were worn smooth with excessive cupping on the inside edges.

I bought new run-flats and had a four-wheel alignment done - so far, so good.

persistance pays-off...
If you have the tenacity of a pitbull and refuse to go away....my experience is GM will eventually own-up.

They had extreme inside wear, the rest of the tread looked normal.
