Man Changing Tire involved in 690 Accident
Last Update: 2/1/2007 11:11:47 AM
Geddes (WSYR-TV) – A man pulled over, changing his tire on Route 690 in Geddes, was involved in an incident that could have been much more serious.
The man was pulled off to the side of the road near the Van Vleck Road exit. He was changing the tire on his vehicle at the time, when he was grazed by the mirror of a passing vehicle.
I've had non-runflats on my car.. Dunlop 9000sports. Very poor tires in my opinion. Went with Michelin Pilot Sport ZP (runflat) tires and they are VERY VERY good. Been running those for a few years now. They have good long tread life, are quiet, have a smooth ride, plus are runflat! So, no complaints. I saw zero downside when compared to the dunlops (flats). Well, aside from price.. but, if I was price concerned, I'd not have bought a vette to start with.
So.. I'd go with that Pilot Sport ZP tires.. cuz I am again, next week. One thing though, the first tires are like 4 years old now and still have tread on them, but they are feeling 'hard' now. Going to replace those. I guess with age they loose some of their squishiness.
