I know that dark cloud feeling. Had my own sad day last time I drove my Z.
Pushed a 3/4 ton truck about 4 inches in a parking lot. Marred the paint on my front bumper. The truck was backed into the space in front of me and it's trailer hitch hung so low I couldn't see that it intruded into my spot by about 2 feet.
There was no body panel damage and it's not terribly obvious. In fact I am hoping most of it will buff out but the dark cloud feeling is definately there.
I believe he was referring to trying to get a problem fixed that GMPP is not working well with.
Yes GMPP and Chevy... Check my other Posts... But long story short (and another thread)
My rear end has been rebuilt to the tune of about $6k paid for by GMPP... The dealer can not imagine why the noise wont go away. The gear and pinion are dialed in to GM specs.
GM tech assist continues to tell the dealer to re shim the rear end.
I feel your pain. At least they are fixing it. I'm sure that part will workout fine. It'd always something going on, I learned that one real quick! My vette has been in the shop almost as much as I have drove it but I still love it and wouldn't trade it for anything!
Is the dealer going to keep it off the record??? They do it when they own the car.
You may want to go outside the dealership for the repair they caused. You want the best and dealership body shop operations do not have the best because they won't pay to employ that skill level. Check out the alternatives it is your car and they caused the accident.

And, I think, your GMPP is good at ANY GM dealership so I would be making alot of phone calls to different dealers to find out if one of them could fix the diff and properly paint your Vette! good luck.
