I am glad to see you guys driving your Corvettes (especially the Z06s). I had a '94 Admiral blue M6 daily driver for 1½ years, and now I am in the market for a C5 DD. My commute is 100 miles per day, so it will rack up over 30k per year. The gas mileage with an M6 can be very acceptable (if you control yourself). I am looking for a C5 in the mid $teens, so that the depreciation wont be too bad after it has a couple hundred thousand miles +++. My '94 Silverado now has 295xxx miles, with only an intake manifold gasket plus typical accessory replacements. Who says only imports can have trouble free high miles I hope to be joining the daily driver group soon. Any recommendations from you C5 drivers?
I drive this 99 everyday, rain or shine. Only time I drive the beater is our rare ice or snow here on the Oregon coast. Maybe 5-6 days a year. It's a car, drive the damn thing, what ya gonna let yer kid inherit it?
No, I just don't like water spots. And I have black, so in the rain/water, it gets filthy. I must keep my caar clean. I already wash it every sat. or sun. I don't need to wash it twice a week. That's why. And I don't want to have to clean the undercarriage more than once a year.
