Got in my car after work, after letting it warm up for a few mins I put it in reverse and started backing out when this message showed up. I slowly drove it home. About 15 mins later it finally said "Warm-up complete" and went back to the coolant temp (which I have as default) and it was at 165F.
My question is, is it bad for me to drive it while it says that?
Next question is what and how is it being warmed up??
I get it frequently. Usually happens when the steering wheel is turned just after starting off. The warmup is nothing more than a calibration. Just don't drive aggressively during that time.

PS it was 7 degrees outside.
I have also had this happen and it is normal like said above. So no worries.
If it happens immediately after start and clears, it's normal. It's doing a calibration. It's even mentioned in the owners manual. Only a problem if it persists when it could be indication of an EBCM problem. That would throw some codes. Have to say though, 15 mins is a long time to calibrate. It normally finishes after a couple of minutes once its turned a few corners.
Its OK to drive while it calibrates but you won't have protection from the ABS/TCS/AH during that time so take it easy.

TC came on when I hit a patch of ice on the way home while this was on. I also tested out the ABS and it worked also. I wasn't brave enough to test the AH though.

I think you need to check the codes and post them up. See if any are Current (C).
ACT HNDLG-WARMING UP
The IPC illuminates the ACT HNDLG-WARMING UP indicator in the message center when the following occurs:
The EBCM detects that the engine is on and the vehicle speed is at 6 mph (10 km/h) or below. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the EBCM. The DIC will display this message for 3.5 seconds and then turn off. A chime will sound will this message is displayed.
When this message is displayed the traction control and active handling system indicator turns on.
The car has to be driven in a straight line above 6 mph for several hundred feet before the system can complete calibration. The calibration lets the system know which steering wheel position is straight ahead.
WARM UP COMPLETE
The IPC illuminates the WARM UP COMPLETE indicator in the message center when the EBCM has completed the functional check of the active handling system. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the EBCM. The DIC will display this message for 3.5 seconds and then turn off. A chime will sound will this message is displayed.
I have to point out that after work on my car that had been done after my accident a few weeks ago, the body shop wasn't able to have an alignment done to it. I took it to a few shops on tues but none of them were able to do it. So I have to wait until next tues to do it.
However since the work has been done my steering wheel's new "straight" position is no longer in the ceter as it should be. Instead it's about 5-6 degrees to the left.
Thanks for the help guys I'll post up the codes tommorow night.

Bill
Thats what I was thinking Bill
15 mins warm up is way too long .
The codes should flag up if the EBCM is giving problems.
