Very common problem with the C5 seat tracks. There are some great write ups and DIY fixes. Just do a search.
Good luck

its the dreaded rocking seat syndrome. i fixed mine in a couple of hours using washers that were grinded down to rectangular shapes to replace worn rubber bushings. there are threads on this. some harder than others. i removed my corkscrews(worm gears) instead of seperating the rails which made the repair faster.

Here's the TSB on it. As stated, there's some fixes in posts on the Forum:

You're going to love the C5

Here are some very good instructions on the fix for the rocking seat problem:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...t=rocking+seat

http://robbs.js-x.com/ken/vette1/

This write up is in the tech section but the pictures have been removed: https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...=251&TopicID=1

Although I have read that this is a common problem and seen numerous posts on this, I have owned six C5's during the last 6 years and I have only noticed the problem (very slightly) on only one of them, my '98 Silver Convertible. In fact it was barely noticeable at all. Good luck withe the fix. Post some pics of your 3 Vettes.

The C5s have been known to have a rocking seat problem - there have been several posts made on how to fix them. If you can't find them, send me a PM with your e-mail address and I have some Word files on the rocking seat problem that I can send to you.
