The last thing that dog would of seen would of been the muzzle flash from my pistol
You might be in line for some therapy. Putting a car above a dog is not a good order of things. Dogs are social animals, he was showing his owner that he does not like being left alone.
Was he a rescue mutt? Maybe his abusive PO was a Mustang owner.
I still am trying to figure out how he got the emblem off without digging anything up with his teeth. it's hard for a PERSON to do it without damaging anything, never mind a dog

Maybe you should rent this dog out to safely remove BSM's?
When my dog chewed up the plastic end on my glasses (the part that goes over your ear), the vet said that they do that when it's plastic and it comes in so much contact with YOU that it has your scent on it!
When I was still living at home, our dog ate the 3500 emblems off my Dad's Diesel Silverado and chewed up a mess of wires underneath the engine compartment. He didn't notice until he tried to start the truck and it wouldn't turn over. It now made sense why the dog didnt come out to greet him as he left for work like she always had... she just hid inside her kennel.
The truck had to be towed out of the garage to get serviced.
We deduced later it was because when my dad came home in a hurry the night before, he didn't give any acknowledgement to her or pet her before going in the house for the whole night. She was our 120 lb Rotty if anyone was curious.
Dogs are a man's best friend, but they get really jealous of inanimate objects Make sure to scratch their ears when you get home, or park outside.
