My dog hates me.

Went out yesterday,(raining) so did not take the vette or the dog.
Returned home to find that the front emblem had been chewed off
the nose cap. Wifey cried, I did not kill the mutt. New emblem
57.00 from MAD. Dog will find a new hobby or a new home

So he got the emblem off without doing any other damage?

Yep. The emblem has 2 guide pins and double sided adhesive.
Got out the detailer and really wiped everything down. Just parts
of the adhesive left. I won't remove it until the replacement
gets here. I really expected the paint to be trashed

That's just weird. What would make a dog want to do that? Amazing that he didn't damage the paint.

When l roll so does my golden. i have a weathertech mat in the back and the console cover is covered.

I am more concerned with my wife then my dog!

Maybe the adhesive has a tasty attractive odor he can't refuse?

Is there a decal available the same size that might not be as attractive to the dog?

This would be the most likely cause. Sometimes dogs dig in wall-to-wall carpeting, just because of the glue used underneath. They think there's a tasty treat waiting to be found underneath.

I get the stink eye from my dog when I don't take her to town with me---but she's never chewed anything off in revenge.

I'd be careful the next time you fall asleep on the couch----especially if you're wearing shorts.
