Had one. Very short throws, and fairly precise. Fully adjustable handle allowing you to customize the **** to an ideal position. Mine was notchy through the neutral gate, and when pushed, had problems going into 4th gear. I believe there's better options, such as (what I got) the C6Zo6, the MTI 6-shooter, and the improved B&M.

I have that particular shifter. I would say its one of the shortest throwing shifters out there. I drove a friends C-5 with a B&M shifter and it was just as notchy. There is a small fix for the notchyness in the tranny. Look for it in a different thread. I can't even remember what they called it. But I know it has to do with the detent ball in the top of the tranny.

Good luck.

I had that shifter in my 99 Coupe and it had to be my favorite so far! Great feel, no rattles and I really liked how it was angled.
Good luck!

You might be referring to the "anti-venom" mod? There are definitely some numerous threads around here regarding that mod.

How does the C6Z06 shifter feel relative to the C5Z06 shifter? What's the difference between the C6 and C6Z06 shifter?

Had it in my Z06 for 3 days and tore it out. I have a bad right shoulder and it tore up the muscles, even with the lightest springs in it. Was very well made, but I couldn't take shifting with it. Went back to factory, sold it to another forum member (forgot who now, was 2 years ago) and that member loved it.

The C6Z has a much shorter handle, and is more precise. The throws are a little shorter, and it's no more notchy. BTW, I did the "anti-venom mod" and it didn't help at all.

If you want to substiantially shorten throw, add precision, and add a little extra force perform the anti-venom mod and install your short shifter.

My final magical combination was: MTI 6-shooter, anti-venom, AmsOil ATF, dynomat all around and on the shifter, F-body shift ****, and many attempts at adjusting the shift box assembly.

Realistically it all comes down to each persons preference, but it feels perfect to me now - and my main complaint about the car was how it shifted...

I put in a C6Z shifter and hated it. IMO, it wasnt any shorter shifting than the stocker. It was physically a little shorter, but still felt too loose for me. The only thing I liked was the shift ****.

I ended up with the Kirban. They make one that will accept the C6Z ****. So, I have a Kirban with a C6Z ****. Feels identical to the Hurst. Love it!!!

I had this shifter as well in my 2004 Z06 and removed it after a few weeks. To much side to side effort and it rattled like crazy. I have had stock, shortened stock, Hurst, BPP and now MTI. I have found the MTI the best of all of these so far...
