I dont have a problem telling some one he is a crook if he got to nerve to rip me off. About 15 years ago my friend told me he paid 1,000 for a brake job on his firebird. They told him it was going to run a little high because they had to resurface the rotors.

If GB Vette doesn't take you up on that, I will. We'll save the PayPal fees, and I'll just have you pay when we meet on Saturday. I can change the plugs then

Freezing?? Chris, you don't know squat about freezing! It's been between -25 to -30 every morning here for about the last week - then, during the day it WARMS UP to between 0 to -7 or so. So cold in fact, that I'm leaving here for your part of the country Friday morning - should be in beautiful Orlando by 11:30 Friday!

Damn Chris! Reminds me of the 40 extra bucks I paid for the alignment on Monday. Just because they had to disconnect the turbo ducts to get to the adjustments. Remember, those that you had to disconnect so we can put the front sway bar in.

Freaking rip offs.

I really don't think it would be a good idea to let a goodyear work on your vette. Not saying that all techs at goodyears are hacks, but i am a tech at a honda dealer and have seen alot of really bad stuff that has come out of some of those places. But thats beside the point, 308.00 is a scam. I really don't know how some of these people that try to sell stuff at a inflated rates sleep at night. I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around.

I was driving when Chris called and told me about the $307 plug swap quote. I nearly had an accident, I was laughing so hard

While I do not have the exact details on an alternator repair on my son's Pontiac 6000, Goodyear charged him 1.75 hrs to change the alternator--two bolts. They also charged him twice what the alternator would have cost him from the parts supply shop down the street. The really good news is that he paid these exorbitant prices EVEN AFTER HE RECEIVED HIS "DELL EMPLOYEE" DISCOUNT.

Next time, he is driving a Taurus, and the hose on the fuel filter is loose with gasoline pouring out. No problem, he lives near a Ford dealer on South IH 35. They tighten the screw for $130. He later noticed that a sign on the dealership wall indicated that they charged $65 (parts and labor) to replace the entire filter.

Sometimes, I think I am the only one left who is honest. As soon as the judge commutes my sentence for grand theft larceny, I will show everyone how honest I can be too. (Just kidding.)
