When you say gray in color, I assume you mean silver. The 50th Anniversary Edition only comes in Anniversary Red with Shale interior. That sounds like a good price for a 2003 with only 1000 miles on it. You don't say auto or MN6, but either sounds very reasonable. Is the mileage 1000 for sure? Did you check the title for flood or salvage? If everything checks out, I say buy.

I've often had this bad thought. You just know there were quite a few Vettes in and around New Orleans insurance damaged/repaired and sent to market. I hope we never "read" of one.
I think he's talking coupe, not vert., when he says both tops. There is a big price difference between the two models. Usually a few thousand $.
If it is a base model coupe I wouldn't think the price is so great! Almost three years ago when they were closing out the C-5's you could get a base model coupe '04 for mid thirties. You could get a loaded '04 vert 6 speed for $46-47K during the summer of 2004. I know, as I came close to buying a new '04 vert 6 speed from Kerbeck in July of '04.
If it trips your trigger and assuming the condition matches the miles - and a Carfax comes back clean - I would think it is a very good deal - I would buy it and get an extended warranty - should be able to get a 36 mo/36,000 for 2000 +/-...... Just my humble opinion
My only worry would be the 1000 miles. What have they done with it the last 3 years.....That is kinda too low for miles. Be sure and ensure there is not a salvage title on it or it has not been wrecked. I always worry when something sounds fishy.
Sounds good. I just bought an immaculate 03 coupe, auto, fully loaded with 24K from a dealer for 30000. That included a 90 day bumper to bumper warranty and GM certification. Make sure you get Carfax and GM reports. Obviously this still doesn't guarantee everything, but it helps. Good luck and have fun.
