the PIAA 1100x are great lights and easy to install - even on my Z06 that didn't have factory fogs. one of the best additions I have made to the car yet...
I saw a black c5 z06 today during the day and he had his drls and foglights on, but not his headlights. how is that possible? also, his foglights were hids so i'm guessing piaa?

Yeah... I spoke with Tuan about the dimensions... the Micro De is 2 inches deeper...
I removed my foglight shrouds a while back to increase the airflow and got screens... I'm hoping the extra depth of the lights with be ok since the lights willl sit further foward in that area.... which I hope will be even better for the light beam... we'll see. Thanks for looking out

I'd recommend killing your approach lights so the fog lights don't turn on/off to hitting the FOB. the on/off action will shorten the life of the HID units
Also, rewire the fogs so they stay on independently of the parking lights that way when you hit the high beams it doesn't shut off either.

I had some HID driving lights on my previous car(rx7tt) along with some HID's in the stock pop-up housings. The HID's in the driving lights didn't make much of an improvement in lighting. I think it's because they sat so low below the bumper to make a difference.
