chrome Z06 wheels

quick question. were they ever factory stock option, or always aftermarket? friend of mine is looking to upgrade from his 04 cobra to a 2003-2004 Z06.

Chrome is aftermarket. In 2004, the Z16 package included polished z06 wheels. Maybe he can look into those.

My New 07 Z06 has Factory option Chrome rims, the 06 only had polished aluminum as an option.

You could get C5 Z06's from dealerships with chromed factory wheels. However, they didn't come that way from GM, the dealership would have had them chromed. There's plenty of chromed OEM Z06 wheels floating around. I bought a used set off of the forum. You can also buy them from Bob @ House of Wheels (forum sponsor). They are only a little bit heavier than the stockers too which is really nice to have such a light weight wheel thats chrome.
